Moline woman accused of soliciting child to produce porn with older man

MOLINE, Ill. – A Moline woman is behind bars after allegedly soliciting a child to produce porn with a Moline man.

Simia Ayers, 20, of Moline, has been charged with four counts of Child Pornography, a Class X Felony, and one count of Indecent Solicitation of Child, a Class 3 Felony.

Richard Gatewood, 25, of Moline, is facing one count of Child Pornography, a Class X Felony, and one count of Aggravated Sexual Abuse, a Class 2 Felony, according to the Moline Police Department.

On Nov. 13, the rape of a 16-year-old girl was reported to Moline Police by a hospital in Davenport where JD claimed she was sexually assaulted by Gatewood while at Ayers’ home a couple days prior, court documents show.

JD told hospital staff she was at Ayers’ home on Nov. 9 when she walked in on Ayers and Gatewood having sex after drinking alcohol, court documents show.

Ayers helped JD get undressed and placed on top of Gatewood to engage in sexual intercourse, court documents show.

At the Child Advocacy Center, JD stated she tested positive for a sexually-transmitted disease and was at risk of being pregnant because of Gatewood’s actions during intercourse, court documents show.

JD also reported seeing Ayers with her cell phone out while Gatewood was raping her, court documents show.

A few days later, JD’s mother told police a friend said her daughter had seen a video of JD having sex while at Ayers’ home from her cell phone, court documents show.

The daughter was interviewed and claimed Ayers showed her a video on her cell phone showing JD having sex on Ayers’ bed, court documents show.

After obtaining a search warrant, police seized Ayers’ iPhone, of which contained three videos, between 10 seconds and about 2.5 minutes, showing JD having sex with a black man, court documents show.

In the longest video, the man, who the detective says has similar facial hair to Gatewood, is seen looking back at the camera, indicating he is aware of being recorded, court documents show.

There were also messages on Ayers’ phone between her and JD talking about the sex. A search warrant for Ayers’ Snapchat account located the videos of the alleged incident, court documents show.

On Dec. 13, while responding to a separate incident at Ayers’ home, police discovered a 13-year-old girl who was only wearing underwear and a shirt, and told police she had sex with two men who were also at the home, court documents show.

On Dec. 14, Ayers was arrested and booked into the Rock Island County Jail. On Dec. 15, she appeared in court where a judge denied pretrial release, court records show.
