ABOUT ME
I grew up in Princeton, Illinois and graduated with the Class of 2013 before moving to Seattle in 2014. After six years in the Pacific Northwest I moved back to the Midwest.
In 2022, I began forecasting weather and providing severe weather coverage online for the Quad Cities and Midwest region before getting hired at KWQC TV6 in the summer of 2023. Originally, I was striving to join the weather center, but God had different plans for me and called on me to truly immerse myself in the world of journalism.
In early 2024, I helped a family find closure by covering and actively participating in the search and recovery of a missing 92-year-old man in East Moline. This was my first glimpse at how journalism could truly make a difference in the community.
Then on July 28, 2024, an 18-year-old man named Jackson Kradle was found dead on a road near Mt. Carroll, Illinois. I pursued the facts and discovered two employees with the Sheriff’s Office had called the dispatcher reporting they found his body but were later being investigated for possibly being responsible for his death.
My investigative journalism helped motivate the Coroner to hold an inquest resulting in a homicide verdict, and in March 2025, a special prosecutor filed criminal charges.
Jackson’s story is, unfortunately, not a ‘one in a million’ case as some have suggested. Many families and communities in our region are desperately seeking answers and justice but the current media apparatus is failing them.
My primary objective as a member of the fourth estate is to lead us closer to justice one case and story at a time.
