DAVENPORT, Iowa – The man charged in the murder of Trudy Appleby has been convicted and sentenced to prison on Iowa drug charges as he awaits trial in Illinois.
Jamison Fisher, 50, reached a plea agreement and pled Guilty to a reduced charge of Intent to Deliver Meth, a Class C Felony, and Intent to Deliver Marijuana, a Class D Felony, as an habitual offender.
Fisher is sentenced to 25 years in prison with credit for time already served in jail and must serve at least three years before being eligible for parole, court records show.
Meanwhile, in Henry County, Illinois, Fisher faces charges of First Degree Murder, a Class M Felony, for the disappearance and murder of Trudy Appleby who has been missing out of Moline since 1996.
At this time, Fisher is being held in the Scott County Jail but is expected to return to the Henry County Jail to attend ongoing proceedings in the Appleby case.
The next court hearing in Henry County is set for Wednesday Nov. 5 at 11:30 a.m.
